Complimentary coffee

Our office installed a coffee machine in the waiting room this week. I was not for this idea initially, because I’ve had some really bad coffee from these machines before, as well as bad experiences.

Anyone remember the old type machines that would drop the cup, then the coffee would dribble into it? Anyone remember the cup not dropping, but the coffee dribbled out anyway?

This machine is a quantum leap from those dark age machines.

It has a wide variety of coffee, from latte to cappacino. There’s chai tea (yum) and hot chocolate. It has a safety feature so kid’s can’t activate it accidentally and get burned. And my coffee cup fits in the niche just fine, so I don’t have to use a paper coffee cup. 😎

Though I’ll probably stick to plain ol’ coffee for the most part, the patients seem to love the variety. And that’s what it’s all about. Customer service. Oh, and it’s a totally free service, which makes it much nicer.

Boy, I may just come to your office for coffee sometime. At school, we have to furnish our own pots for ourselves……but at least, we can have them!!! Our first day of school was a wild one, in the new place, with all new stuff. I think I’m getting too old for change. I really didn’t enjoy myself. I’m sure it will get better but today wasn’t fun.

I was afraid it would be a crazy one, Kathy. Usually all new like you have brings with it challenges of things not completed on time, or new things that don’t work as promised. Did they get that bridge built to the new school, or do you have to drive the long way? For the record, our copy machine at work started making a not so normal sound yesterday. Ugh, if it goes down we’re in trouble.

I’ve seen those coffee machines. Very cool.

Kathy’s school sucks. You have to bring your own pot? That’s insane.

Edie, ours is getting a lot of traffic from the patients now. It’s fun to watch them see it, then make a beeline. The cappucino is good, but the latte is too sweet for my tastes.
