New man in the house
I adopted a pet from the local animal shelter on Friday. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for some time, but thanks to Amy Knupp urging me on, I now am a pet owner again.
My dog is part Chow Chow and part Shepherd (we think — Mom was a Chow and dad was a traveling salesman.) After playing around with names, I decided on Samson. It fits him, cause he’s a big hairy boy!

What a cutie! I love his color. And Samson is a great name.

He decided to be a howler last night, Karin. Not terribly pleased with boy this morning. I don’t operate well on 3 hours sleep.

I was calling him something else around 3 am, Edie. He’s in the fenced yard now where he’s going to stay for a while.

He’s so cute. I hope he slept better last night. No telling how much he “howled” at the shelter, so hopefully, he’ll calm down & settle in soon.

I hope things work out with your new man, Jan 🙂 . He looks like a mischevious one.

He slept like a log the past two night, Kathy. So did I, which I desperately needed. I can’t imagine the stress he’s had in his short life, but he’s settling into a routine. We have a few rough places to work on.

I’m sure it will, Michele. It’s an adjustment for both of us. And yes, he’s mischevious! So far not distructively so, but if left to his own devices, he could get in a ton of trouble, lol.
