I like little changes because they give me a fresh outlook. Usually. I’m not such a big fan of big changes because often they signal starting over from scratch.
The past two years I’ve had some big changes in my life. One was a pull the rug out from under you change. I was ready to coast for a while. Surprise!
Hilary Sares, my editor at Kensington Publishing, has left the company.
Editors come and go all the time. It’s the nature of publishing. I can deal with that.
So I say good-bye to the editor I’ve liked personally and professionally, and say hello to a new editor. I’ve been assured he’s a great guy to work with. I’ve no reason to doubt that opinion.
Change. It’s the only constant in publishing.
