Nobody is out to make a better mousetrap that those in the technical world. It seems like every time I turn around, something on my computer is upgrading/updating.
The auto stuff usually works fine, though the last IE upgrade nearly sent me into a meltdown when my email went wacky. (Or maybe that’s wackier?) Dunno. It took a week before I received email in a timely manner.
(Though this week I’ve been getting an awful lot of mail dated Dec 8. Hmmm)
Anyway, the WordPress site is insisting on an upgrade to the blog. It’s an easy one click fix. They say. I hope it works. I’ve made backup copies of the blog files.
See, I’m telling you all this in case the blog disappears or goes hinky on me. Again.
One click fix. Right. Wish me luck!

Well, I did the one click upgrade on Sunday night. Everything looked to be going well. Update completed, blah, blah. And I lost the blog. However, the support guy at my host went through the files and process and whatever that took up to four hours to fix. I just logged on this morning, and the blog is back. Whew! Hope that’s the last of the upgrades for a while. 🙂

Good, God, you mean there’s more than just having a blog??? AMY!!!!!! LOL. Okay, I did experience the blog on my website not being available once, and Amy held my hand. It came up quickly, though, and I think it was a system update or something. If I have to hit a key like you Jan, anything could happen. 😆 I need to move in with Amy and Justin I guess.

Well that sucks, Amie. I’ve never been able to install the smilie plug here, so commenters could have fun with them. All plug-in stuff I try just messes everything up.
LOL, I’ve had that happen, LaDonna. Drives me nuts. For the record, I’d avoided an upgrade on the blog for way too long. I’m just glad this is working now. (she says with fingers crossed!)

LOL, Jan. I’ve done the one click upgrade twice now, for MM, and it was fine both times. But we did get some weird symbols pop up instead of commas, full stops and apostrophes in the old posts. Not with the last upgrade though, thank goodness.

Oh, Michelle, you know the hell I had the time before with the “easy one-click” deal where my blog vanished. I swear my journal is haunted by cyber gremlins. 🙂
