The winter of discontent

This has been a miserably long cold winter. And it’s not over. Yes, I’ve whined about this before. But geewhiz, will it ever stop? Even the sun has been more of a stranger this winter, or at least it seems to have been more gloomy.

I’m tired of cold feet and hands, tired of slogging through snow and skating precariously on ice. I’m tired of putting on have the clothes I own every morning to stay warm.

I need the beach!!!

Amen on the beach, Jan! I’m sitting here in front of the fireplace with flannel jammies on, and fuzzy socks. And I live in TN. LOL.

Good grief, LaDonna. It’s been bad for you too. I’ve worn layers, bundled up like an old crone, and still shivered my behind off.

Jan, I feel sorry for my dog. I haven’t taken her for a walk in weeks. She needs her exercise. I miss walking too. We’re supposed to get another round of snow on Monday too. Argh.

Edie, I have seen far fewer people out walking their dogs in this weather. A few big dogs, but no little ones. They’d get lost in a drift!

Hey, I’m with you on the miserable winter! I’m out visiting my parents in sunny California right now. Leaving to fly back to the midwest and snow/freezing rain predicted for tomorrow. So done with winter!

Soak up all the warmth you can, Kacey. We’re in for another miserable week, and it’s going to hurt after this weekend in the 60s and 70s.
